Early Life and Education

Benjamin Netanyahu was born on October 21, 1949, in Tel Aviv, Israel, to a family of university academics. His father, Benzion Netanyahu, was a historian and Zionist activist, while his mother, Tzila, was a linguist. Netanyahu's family had strong ties to the Zionist right, and he was influenced by their political beliefs from a young age.

Political Career

Netanyahu entered politics in the 1980s and quickly rose through the ranks. He served as Israel's ambassador to the United Nations from 1984 to 1988 and as Minister of Finance from 1988 to 1992. In 1993, he was elected Prime Minister of Israel, becoming the youngest person to hold that position. Netanyahu served as Prime Minister until 1999, and he was re-elected in 2009 and 2015.
